  • What do your mobile services entail?

At The Performance Lab, we know that not everyone has the time in their busy schedule to drive to one of our two locations. For that reason, we offer mobile services! This means that clients can schedule a mobile appointment for an event, and we can provide all of our comprehensive services (besides cryotherapy). We are proud to say that we can set up a mini “performance lab” virtually anywhere. Just give us a call with details such as the number of people who need to be seen during the event, as well as the hours you have in mind, and we’d be happy to work something out with you!

  • How many locations do you have?

The Performance Lab now has TWO convenient Connecticut locations: one in Prospect, and one in West Hartford. If you’re looking to visit one of these locations, check out our contact page. There, you will find information regarding the phone number, address, and business hours for that specific location.

  • Do you offer free consultations?

Yes! At The Performance Lab, our clinicians know that each and every client who walks through our door has unique needs and goals. Everybody is different and we tailor our custom treatment plans with that in mind so that we can ensure each client's objective is met on a timeline that’s right for them. This means that whether you’ve had an injury, you’re looking for a more serious fitness regimen, or you simply want to move easier and place emphasis on your physical health, wellness, and habits, our team is here to help- starting with our free consultations.

  • Do you work with insurance companies?

At The Performance Lab, one of our number one goals is making sure that our clients can get the services that they need to feel and function their very best. For this reason, we do work with insurance companies and always check to see if your insurance provider offers at least partial coverage. If not, we offer a number of alternative payment methods including cashed-based options, credit/debit card, check, PayPal, and Venmo. If you’re unsure if your insurance company will cover at least part of treatment at The Performance Lab, give us a call

  • How quickly will you get back to me after I give you a call?

You can expect our team to reach out to you within 24 hours of your inquiry! We try to schedule all appointments within the week, but in the case of emergencies, we might even be able to get you in on that very day.

  • What should I wear to my appointment?

We always tell our clients that the best thing to wear to an appointment is comfy and loose-fitting clothes so the PT can get at the areas that hurt. If you end up being unable to change before your appointment or you forget to wear loose clothing, don’t worry! We also have stuff that you can change into here.

  • How long does a free consultation take?

The very first appointment you have, otherwise known as the free initial consultation, takes approximately one hour. During this time, you can expect a clinician to discuss with you your needs and goals, assess your current abilities, etc. By the end of the hour, you will have a unique treatment plan created for you and your next appointment scheduled!

  • How long will my appointment be if I need physical therapy for one specific area and it's an acute issue?

These appointments typically last about 30 minutes. However, it is important to keep in mind that if we are focusing on more than one area, it's a more complex issue, and/or if you decide that you’d rather extend your appointment to an hour-long session, the appointment could be longer!

  • How long will my appointment take if I need pain relief and strengthening?

These appointments typically last about 45 minutes. However, if you decide that you want to extend your appointment to an hour-long session, the appointment could be longer.
