With this information, our certified clinicians can create an individualized plan to ensure you are getting all the nutrients you need to reach your overall health and wellness goals.

Signs You Need Micronutrient Testing

Oftentimes, our clients will come to us with signs and symptoms of nutrient deficiencies. Some signs that you may need a micronutrient test we tend to see include:

Feeling tired or fatigued

Low energy levels

Difficulty sleeping

Poor digestion/gastrointestinal issues

Low immune system functioning

Poor concentration and focus

Hormonal imbalances

The Micronutrient Testing Process

Once you decide to move forward with a micronutrient test at The Performance Lab, our certified clinicians will review your medical history and current lifestyle practices. We will then draw a small sample of blood to determine what nutrients are present in your system. After the results are complete, we will go over them in detail with you, explaining what each result means and how it impacts your overall health.

Based on the results, we will provide you with a comprehensive treatment plan that includes lifestyle changes, as well as specific dietary modifications tailored to meet your body’s individual needs. We may also recommend additional testing or treatments designed to correct any deficiencies and help you reach optimal health. Some examples of deficiencies we may see and our recommendations include:

Vitamin D Deficiency. Supplementation, increased sun exposure, and incorporating more salmon, swordfish, tuna fish, dairy/plant milk, and OJ can help increase levels of this essential vitamin.

Iron Deficiency. Supplementation, IV iron therapy, and incorporating more beans, seafood, red meat, and dark, leafy vegetables can help adjust levels of iron within the body.

Magnesium Deficiency. Adding more magnesium-rich foods such as pumpkin seeds, chia seeds, almonds, etc can help increase magnesium levels. Supplementation or IV therapy can also act as helpful solutions.

  • What steps should I take after receiving my mironutrient test results?

"I was referred to the Performance Lab by two people for muscle tension, headaches, and arthritic pain. I have a membership for monthly massages and didn't think there would be much of a difference between the two but I was so wrong! Becky, Melissa, and Jordan have all treated me and I can’t say enough about how great they are! The treatment has done wonders for my headaches and I can’t imagine going anywhere else now!"

"Best place for physical therapy for back issues. My daughter missed a whole year of gymnastics due to back issues and we were recommended to the Performance Lab. She went twice a week for the whole year and was able to compete states, regionals and easterns without doing any meets for the entire year. Thank you Jordan for all that you did to help in getting her where she needed to be to compete."
